The love story of Dave and Arielle is one that blossomed unexpectedly. They first met at Dave’s distribution center in New Jersey, where Arielle visited for work. They were enamored by each other and their chemistry was undeniable. A year later, Dave decided to take a chance and moved away from his beloved Philadelphia for a new opportunity. This decision brought them together again, this time in the state of Mississippi.

As they worked side by side, their professional relationship developed into a close friendship. One October evening, Dave had an extra ticket to a Grizzlies game in Memphis and invited Arielle to join him. Feeling bad that he would be going alone, she accepted his offer. Once inside, Arielle surprised Dave by sprinting to the gift shop to purchase a vintage Mike Bibby Grizzlies jersey. The gesture left Dave in awe, and he knew at that moment that Arielle was someone special.

Their careers took them to Texas where they opened a new Five Below distribution center. During their first weeks there, they attended a company dinner but before that, they decided to grab a drink at Buffalo Wild Wings. It was during this post-work happy hour conversation that Dave finally realized his true feelings for Arielle. She was the only girl for him.

Fast forward to Christmas Eve 2021 in Georgia. With the help of Arielle’s family, who set up their beautiful deck overlooking the lake with twinkling lights, the evening was transformed into a magical and unforgettable experience. Dave took a deep breath and got down on one knee and asked the girl of his dreams to marry him. Her family was eagerly waiting to celebrate the joyous occasion, and Arielle said “YES!” to spending the rest of her life with Dave. A bottle of Dom Perignon was popped, and chocolate-covered strawberries were served. The next weekend they flew to Dave’s family home for a surprise engagement party and of course to cheer on the Georgia Bulldogs. At last, Nittany Lions and Bulldogs could finally join forces.

Dave and Arielle spend their week’s working together, weekends watching Georgia & Penn State, NFL Redzone and squeezing brunch anywhere in between. Their love story continues to flourish, and they credit Five Below for bringing them together. From chance encounters to shared experiences, they are grateful for the opportunities that have brought them closer together. Their love proves that sometimes unexpected paths can lead to the most beautiful destinations.
